Why this exists
You were handed a building, not a curriculum.
Principals are given a staff, a community of children, and enormous accountability — and then largely left to figure it out alone. A workshop here. An online module there. Nothing sequenced, nothing that carries across the year.
You lead reactively
The day sets your agenda instead of the other way around, and by October you are managing whatever is loudest.
Your systems live in you
Things run when you are standing there watching them. The building does not hold without you in the room.
You have no record of your growth
You worked hard all year. If your district asked you to show evidence of your leadership growth, you would have impressions — not documentation.
The curriculum
Twelve months. Four phases. One coherent arc.
This is not a library of videos you dig through. It is a school year, sequenced. Each module opens the last Wednesday of the prior month — the same release calendar the coaching cohort follows — so the work arrives before the month it belongs to, not after.
July · Q1 Systems
Vision, Strategic Planning & Leadership Identity
You build your Leadership Identity Statement, your 90-Day Action Plan, and your school vision with non-negotiables.
August · Q1 Systems
Systems Implementation & School Launch
You build four core operating systems — schedules, routines, communication norms, team roles — plus your early culture signals.
September · Q1 Systems
Execution, Accountability & Progress Monitoring
You build your Principal Scorecard baseline and a weekly leadership-team meeting rhythm that holds.
October · Q2 Synergy
Culture Reset & Leadership Team Alignment
You run a Culture Audit using real staff feedback and set clear roles for the team carrying your vision.
November · Q2 Synergy
Difficult Conversations & Communication Protocols
You script conversations using the Three-A Process — Affirm, Address, Ask for Commitment — and map where your communication breaks down.
December · Q2 Synergy
Reflection & Culture Reinforcement
You complete a structured semester reflection and choose the culture moves that carry your staff into January.
January · Q3 Sustainability
Second Semester Reset & Strategic Realignment
You build your Personal Sustainability Plan, name your burnout warning signals, and set second-semester priorities.
February · Q3 Sustainability
Delegation & Team Capacity Building
You build your Team One Roster, a Delegation Matrix, and an ownership audit of what only you can actually hold.
March · Q3 Sustainability
Instructional Leadership & Data-Driven Decisions
You build your Walkthrough Look-Fors tool and run a mid-year instructional review that traces outcomes back to decisions.
April · Q4 Execution
Aligning Culture with Performance Outcomes
You run a year-to-date data review against your July goals, then hold the individual performance conversations that follow it.
May · Q4 Execution
Staff Retention & Strategic Staffing
You hold retention conversations before summer decisions and complete a staffing audit with a named gap plan.
June · Q4 Execution
Reflection, Evaluation & Next-Year Planning
You complete your Annual Leadership Evaluation, your full-year Scorecard, and next year’s July launch plan — before school closes.
Every module produces something. Finish the year and you are not holding a certificate of attendance — you are holding twelve pieces of documented leadership work you can put in front of your district.
What you receive
Everything the curriculum needs. Nothing you have to schedule.
Twelve monthly modules
The full 2026–27 curriculum, released on the cohort calendar and yours for the program year.

Choose your level
Self-Paced or Coached.
Same curriculum. Different level of support. Be honest with yourself about which one you will actually finish.
The credential is earned through coached implementation and documented accountability, so it is not available at the self-paced level. Self-paced members who complete all twelve modules receive a TLC Curriculum Complete acknowledgment.
Fit
Read this part carefully.
Self-Paced is right for you if…
- You follow through on structure without someone checking on you
- Your schedule genuinely cannot hold a standing weekly call
- You want the frameworks and tools, and you already have people to process with
- You are paying out of pocket, or a school PD budget is what you have access to
- You want to see the curriculum before committing to a coached year
Choose the coached cohort instead if…
- You have bought programs before and not finished them
- The problem you are facing right now needs a person, not a document
- You need someone to follow up on what you said you would do
- You want the Certified TLC School Leader™ credential
- You are carrying this alone and the isolation is the actual issue
